Super Easy Scones Recipe
This is one of the most simple scones recipes as it has only three ingredients and is very easy to make.
1 cup lemonade
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup light cream
flour (for dusting)
First, you should preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a mixing bowl and put flour in it, along with the cream and lemonade, and mix it until you get a sticky dough. Then, pour the mixture onto a surface that has been floured and roll it using a (floured) rolling pin, until your mixture becomes about one inch thick. Sprinkle some extra flour on top, then cut it into rounds and put in on the baking sheet that has been previously floured, making sure that each round is a couple of centimeters away from each other. Bake it in your preheated oven for about fifteen minutes, until the upper parts of the scones become light brown. If you tap the scones, you should hear a slightly hollow sound when they are done.
Simple Scones Recipe
This one has some more ingredients, but it still falls into category of simple scones recipes.
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup sugar
8 tablespoons frozen unsalted butter
½ cup sour cream
½ cup raisins or dried currants
First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Get a medium bowl, and mix, 1/3 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Use large holes on your grater to grate butter into the mixture, and then stir in raisins (or currants). Take a small bowl and beat egg and sour cream until the mixture becomes smooth. Next, stir the sour cream mixture into the flour mixture to form large dough clumps. With your hands, press the dough against the bowl to form a ball. Place the ball on a surface that has been lightly floured, and pat it into a circle approximately ¾ of an inch thick. Sprinkle it with a little sugar and cut it into eight triangles, using a sharp knife. Place the triangles on a cookie sheet, about an inch apart from each other, and bake it for about fifteen minutes, until the scones become golden. Let them cool for a couple of minutes and serve them warm. If you want to add an extra flavour to your simple scone recipes, you could serve your creations with cream and jam.
